What clients are saying...
"Working with Chris changed my life. There's probably no worse time to go through germ exposure therapy (or "ERP") than during a worldwide pandemic, but Chris was able to help me go from being afraid to touch my own floor to rolling around on it with a new puppy. He created a tailored approach that identified my unique triggers and then worked with me to discover what was behind my anxieties so that I could learn to face them. I now live a freer life equipped with the tools I need to tackle anxious thoughts and behaviors as they arise. You couldn't be in better hands than Chris', and I highly recommend him." -N.S., Indianapolis, IN
"As a mother, one of my biggest heartaches was watching my child struggle with anxiety and not be able to ease it for him. Chris was able to gain his trust quickly and get him to a much better place. Chris was thorough in his explanation of the therapy and executed exactly as he described. My son is now able to participate in daily activities outside of the house and his anxiety level has decreased dramatically." -M.H., Fishers, IN
"I've been seeing Chris for 9 months and he has helped me overcome a lot of my sexual abuse trauma. Before seeing him I had crippling anxiety and had been numbing myself for the past 14 years. Now, I have never felt better. I don't struggle with constant anxiety or depression. He is very personable and doesn't make me feel judged no matter what I share during our sessions." -R.S., Brownsburg, IN

"It's crazy to think about, but I felt like an absolute disaster this time last year. Chris played a huge role in improving my quality of life and my ability to parent and be a good partner. I can't express enough gratitude for that. I had no idea enjoying life like this was even available to me." -G.B., Indianapolis, IN

Treatment Approaches
Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is an evidence-based approach found to be effective in thousands of clinical trials for many different disorders. CBT explores a patient’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, as well as the situational factors that contribute to distress. CBT is structured, goal-oriented, skill-based, and hands-on. |
Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)
ERP is the gold-standard treatment for obsessive compulsive disorder, panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and phobias. It works by gradually confronting fears to break the link with avoidance behaviors or compulsions that may relieve distress in the short-term but actually worsen the cycle of anxiety over time. |
Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE)
Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), is a first-line, evidence-based therapy for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The habitual avoidance of trauma memories and situational reminders can reinforce fears and lead to chronic feelings of distress. Through PE, survivors of sexual assault or violence overcome fears and reduce distress by gradually learning to confront both the memories and the reminders of trauma. |
Habit Reversal Training (HRT / ComB Model)
The Comprehensive Behavioral Model (ComB) is the treatment of choice for Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRB) such as hair-pulling and skin-picking. It combines the previously established Habit Reversal Training (HRT) with a more comprehensive assessment model and personalized treatment approach. |
